Fitting Right In

Chestnut is starting to fit right in, you can tell she's getting comfortable.
My Pappap said he can't get over how much she sleeps, she's slept all through the past few nights.

She still needs some things yet though. She has a shot she needs which we're getting from the store this week because it's incredibly cheaper than going to the vet and having it done.
I also want to get her some toys, I watched her the other day while my mom took my Grandma to the store to get groceries since they got back a few days ago, and now that I see what she does, I have some things in mind.


She's chewing...and chewing a little too much, meaning she's experimenting with biting too, which we're nipping in the bud so it doesn't turn into anything more than just her and her puppy chewing.


She's also got fleas. She was an outside puppy at the breeders, so it's to be expected. I gave her a bath in the sink yesterday and got a lot of them killed, but their still on her, in a couple days I'm gonna go back over and give her another one to try and keep up with that darn flea cycle. Note: She did really well for getting her first 'new-home bath' (the guy gave her one when my mom and Grandma went to pick her up so she'd be all nice and pretty) she's just too cute.

She's having a blast with there being two cats in the house. Jack doesn't seem to be able to know what to do with something that has the same energy as him, he's used to picking on poor old Cookie who doesn't have much of the 'pi-zaz' in her anymore to be too awful quick.


I've also started training. I'm so excited for this. I love love love training animals.

Also, I can't wait to start making dog treats too, I have so many ideas in mind that I want to do with her now that there's finally another dog in my life, oh the blessings God gives!!!

A part of me does, yes. But then again no. After what she did to everyone? Does she really deserve it? Cause the things she did were just... evil.
But maybe if she really tries to earn her happy ending, than sure. I guess.

Meet Chestnut [aka Chessie/Chessy]

She's an 11 week old Beagle puppy, she's already stolen my heart. I LOVE her. She kept giving me puppy cuddles, oh my gosh.
I plan on getting lots of nice pictures, and videos of her while she's still little.

My grandparents got back from visiting my aunt for the past two weeks yesterday, my mom asked my grandma when she thought they'd be going to get the puppy[this was yesterday] and she said 'are you free tomorrow?'. So this morning my mom called my grandparents who called the breeder and said to come get her around 11. So me and my mom left the house around a quarter till 10 to go to my grandparents house and I stayed there while they went to get the puppy, which was good because my stomach wasn't being very nice.
I got to spend time with my Pappap which was extra nice because we just don't hang out very much, we talked hunting, gardening, and food! He taught me how to make a meal that he just whipped up with fresh veggies from the garden.

It's just been a very exciting day! There will definitely be more photos and that to come!

Funniest moment?

Changing My Blog Name...?

One of the hardest things that I've had to deal with with having a blog, is finding the perfect name. I'm pretty sure I've changed it three times already, and I'm thinking about changing it again.

There's a few reasons why.

1) Facebook won't let me make a page called 'Gypsy Driftin' I don't think they allow anything with the word 'gypsy' so that makes it hard. So my Facebook page is called 'Small Town Kinda Girl' because it's the url of my blog, the closest thing that I could get to match.

2) Pinterest can't seem to find the name, either. I did a search of my blog name on there to see if any of the posts I had posted with my blog name would come up, nothing.

The problem is that I really like the name I have now, it describes everything I want it too. But there's also another name that would do so, but I don't have the same emotional attachment to it as I do this one.

I'm not quite sure what to do.

I just wanted to make this post so that if you would happen to see a different named blog that just happened to randomly show up, you'd know that it will probably be mine. But if I do change it, I will make another post stating the before and after name and that the name has been changed in the title of the post.

Just a warning.

It's late, so this just might be my mind making this out to be a bigger deal than it really is... oh, brain...
