Top 5 Favorite Healthier Snacks

I'm what you call a 'grazer'. I'd much rather have a bunch of small snacks throughout the day as compared to a few larger meals. Also, I seem to have a major sweet tooth. Eating healthy has always been a struggle for me. When I was younger I was very much overweight, I lost weight, just hitting the "normal" BMI, stayed steady for a while and then hit a major wall where I got obsessed with calorie counting and was walking down E.D. Lane.
These past couple months I've been managing much better, joined a gym, not so strict when it comes to calories but rather paying more attention to what I eat, and trying to keep portions under control.

Here are some of my favorite snacks that are healthier compared to a pack of pop-tarts, or those gross cheese curls that are orange on the inside.

These So Delicious Coconut Almond bars are AMAZING. They're made with coconut milk which have amazing benefits to help with healthy hair and skin. Coconut milk also has properties that help fight against viruses like influenza.
These are also gluten free!

Surf Sweets has a large variety of sweets that "Anyone can enjoy Surf Sweets because our candy is free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors and flavors, and the top ten allergens." - Surf Sweets.
Me, being a jelly bean addict, are absolutely in love with these! They taste SO MUCH BETTER than the artificial flavored stuff. These actually taste like fruit, and I feel a lot better about the ingredients in these as compared to artificially made.
P.S. The gummy bears are amazing too!

You can never go wrong with popcorn. Especially when you have the munchies. You can make it yourself and top it with whatever you're craving, or simply get a convenient bag to have at the ready.
This is one of my favorite brands. They offer so many different flavors that it would be hard no to find one you like.
Personally, I prefer the simple Sea Salt, Kettle Corn, or the Pink Himalayan Salt.

Annie's Cheddar Bunnies are SO MUCH tastier then Cheez-its. Not going to lie.
These are made with organic whole wheat flour and real cheese. They, too, have a wide range of snacks from cookies, to crackers, and really good yogurt. The only thing I wish was different is if they had the Whole Grain stamp on their products, and a gluten free version of these.

Larabar's are another great sweet treat. They're made with dried fruit and nuts. My favorite is the blueberry muffin. The lemon bar is really great, too! These are great for on the go or after a workout. Usually I workout after I get done with work and don't eat something until after the gym, which is like a seven hour span between my breakfast and 'mid-morning snack', The blueberry has 4g's of protein, it's not a lot, but it is something to feed those newly sprouting baby muscles!

Top 10 Book Quotes of 2015

I'm pretty sure I said this a month ago but omg I can't believe it's December. 24 MORE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!!! I'm so excited! Did you get your shopping done? Mine for the most part is. I'm hoping I get books. x]

So I thought that this would be something fun to do, I didn't do this last year, so maybe as of this year it will become a thing.

1. "I mean, it's like trying to decide between James Dean and Elvis. Seriously, who could make that choice?" - Andrea Portes, Anatomy of a Misfit

2. "'You're not the same as you were before,' he said. 'You were much more... muchier... you've lost your muchness.'" - Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

3. "Nothing had been okay, not for a long time. And every moment that I thought I was getting close, like the one I’d had earlier, seemed to remind the universe that I didn’t deserve that, not yet." - Sarah Dessen, Saint Anything

4. "But if I'm it, the last of my kind, the last page of human history, like hell I'm going to let the story end this way. I may be the last one, but I am the one still standing. I am the one turning to face the faceless hunter in the woods on an abandoned highway. I am the one not running but facing. Because if I am the last one, then I am humanity. And if this is humanity's last war, then I am the battlefield." - Rick Yancey, The 5th Wave

5. "Life's too short to pretend and play games like that. I want to spend my time hanging out with people who make me feel good about myself. People who make me happy." - Gena Showalter, Alice in Zombieland

6. "My ideas flow so rapidly that I have not time to express them- by which means my letters sometimes convey no ideas at all to my correspondents." - Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

7. "I had this wild thought that he was the only one in all this chaos who was just like me, and that was comforting and profound all at once." - Sarah Dessen, Dreamland

8. "I'm not sure this is a world I belong in anymore. I'm not sure that I want to wake up." - Gayle Forman,  If I Stay

9. "I wish for the thing that is best for me." - Stephanie Perkins, Anna and the French Kiss

10. "In the end that was the choice you made, and it doesn't matter how hard it was to make it. It matters that you did." - Cassandra Clare, City of Glass

I'm 95% done with my Christmas shopping. I wanted to get it done before 'holiday' season kicks in and EVERYONE is shopping. I have 2 gifts and some 'stocking stuffer' type gifts that I want to get done and I will be finished. Wham bam thank ya ma'am!

Spending time with my parents. I'm very thankful for this. Even though I'm busy I'm glad I have parents who try to spend time with me and still try to have a part in my life, not many people have that, and I'm so very thankful that I have such amazing parents.

TeamLava games. I'm addicted. Bakery Story, Fantasy Forest Story, ugh.  It's terrible... download them!

Once Upon A Time is back. My. Life.

Oh one other thing! The Christmas stuff is like officially in stores. Like the Christmas candy and everything is out. Yay!

I've Got Sunshine On A Cloudy Day...

This past weekend has been pretty lovely. I've finally got a  tan going which may or may not have came from a sun burn. I'm known for having really bad sunburns, seriously. It happens every year for the past four or five years. BUT so far this year, it hasn't happened (I'm grinning pretty big right now).
Apart from that, this past weekend has been spent with my dad, which is also lovely. Mom went away for a college trip (I miss you mom!!). Me and Dad got to spend time together, watching tv and sharing iTunes music.

Anywho. I wanted to share some of my favorites. I've been thinking that I should do this more often because a blog is like a journal, right? I can share favorites.
At least most of them.

Cheese & Pretzels. YUMM! This has been my 'go to' breakfast lately. Heaven. Seriously.

The sun. Of course. We had a pretty harsh winter so the sun has been such a nice treat.
(Thank you, Lord!)

Netflix. Of course. But more specifically Melissa & Joey. I LOVE this show. Gah! It's perfect. Funny, cute, funny...funny! I've watched the seasons like 3 times through and I'm gonna watch it again. Thank. You. Very. Much.

There's also another show called Rewrapped, it's not on Netflix though, I think it's new. Joey Fatone is the host of it.  AMAZING.

Junk food. This is bad. I've developed a sweet tooth from cookies, chips, and ginger ale (yay upset stomach [I mean the ginger ale for that, not the cookies or chips {don't worry}]).
But I'm working on getting rid of it. I'm not allowing myself to have any more junk, apart from ginger ale, but only during an upset stomach.
I haven't had chips in a LONG time, like years. Until I had a bag of Baked Herr's chips and it just plummeted from there. But I quickly noticed how I felt like crap being all bloated and feeling like I'd just ate two greasy cheese burgers, Blah!
Kicking that one in the butt!

Oh! And gardening! My mom's a gardener and this year I decided to get back to my old ways and plant some seeds and their coming along great. I can't wait to eat some watermelon and cantaloupes.
We've done a lot of planting though. Last weekend I helped my mom plants some flowers and tomatoes, which the rabbits decided to eat -.- Mom said she's gonna get some onions to put around the next set we put it.
Can't wait!

Currently this is all my favorites. What're yours?
