Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Bar Review
[source]
I like trying different chocolate bars. Ghirardelli is one of my favorite brands, they have the best dark chocolate! (Specifically the Twilight Delight).
Me and my mom were shoppin' the other day and they were on sale so I picked two of them up, one being the Raspberry, I don't remember trying this one specifically.
Ingredients: Sugar, Unsweetened Chocolate, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Cocoa Butter, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Water, Milk Fat, Freeze Dried Raspberry Powder, Corn Syrup, Soy Lecithin Emulsifier, Fruit and Vegetable Juice for Color, Vanilla, Potassium Sorbate, Gelatin.
This specific bar isn't my absolute favorite. One, being the HFCS in it, I didn't realize that when I bought it. Two, maybe it's the fact that the weather is warmer, but I think that there's more coco butter in this bar than there is in the other dark chocolate bars.
It does have the great bitter taste, it's just a little to butter-y for me and dark chocolate. That's a great thing about their 'pure' dark chocolate bars, when you get the Twilight Delight it doesn't melt so easily meaning it doesn't contain much cocoa butter, but the better part of the cocoa bean.
The one nice thing I liked about it was the seeds in the filling. When you buy chocolate bars that typically have fruit filling it tastes fake and artificial. I have yet to find a Ghirardelli bar with a fruit filling that tastes artificial.
The bar itself costs around $2.68 at our Giant Eagle which I believe is the same price as their straight chocolate bars. The straight chocolate ones are bigger though, both are 3.5oz. I always think you're getting more in the straight chocolate just because the bars look bigger.
The power of packaging! Lol.
Price wise, I give 5/10. I'm cheap, but at the same time I would much rather spend the money on these types of chocolate bars over Hershey's. I feel that Ghirardelli is better quality.
Taste wise 5/10, it's not my favorite flavor by the, it also isn't bad, either.
Over all, this bar was really good, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. But I probably wouldn't purchase a full bar on it's own, maybe in one of those Squares Mix packs, but not on it's own.

Cadbury Milk Chocolate Creme Egg Review
I know, I know. I'm so weird.
This is the first time, that my mind can recall, ever having a creme egg.
I've been on this kick of trying new chocolate which is funny because now that I've had my roller-coaster-chocolate-craving thing my stomach churns a bit at the thought of more chocolate. So I'm sketching out chocolate for the most part during the weekdays and having it during the weekends to give me a chance to put those calories to good use towards fruits and veggies (or most likely fruit gummi's. Seriously, I'm obsessed).
Ingredients: Semi-sweet chocolate (sugar; cocoa butter; chocolate; milk fat; natural and artificial flavor; soy lecithin; milk)
Everyone seems to be obsessed with these creme eggs so I decided on wanting to try them myself to see if they were as good as everyone says.
First, I want to point out, which this really frustrates me, Cadbury chocolate-sold in the US- isn't really 100% the good Cadbury chocolate that is sold everywhere outside of the US because Hershey's banned British chocolate from coming into the us; from my understanding, it's because it tastes better...? So... I need to go to London sometime I guess to sit at a lovely cafe with a cup of tea, and have some chocolate. Not that I'm complaining!
So, I ate this creme egg and my verdict is that it's pretty good. I love the Cadbury chocolate though, but now that I know it's by Hershey's it's put a bit of a damper on the whole eating it because I wanted it to be British chocolate, lol.
The chocolate itself is creamy and smooth, it also has a sweet smell to it. The fondant confused me a bit, but I've never had fondant before. It almost seemed like marshmallow, but then it was sugar, it's like a medium of the too. Like a thick goo but a little grainy. It was confusing but almost satisfying at the same time.
My mom had said she couldn't eat them because of the whole raw egg-like look to it so I was expecting the insides to be like a runny mess and it being this hard thing to mentally get past (yes I'm one of those people) and thankfully it wasn't.
I would eat these again, and I'm not just saying that because I had bought a 5 pack of this to try them (I didn't get them until the Easter candy was on sale, good thing they aren't bad tasting!). But they aren't my number one pick of the crop either.

My Love for Avengers
As a kid, I don't remember being very interested at all in anything superhero related. I can recall watching Spiderman and Batman movies, and seeing a lot of Hulk in stores, but that's all. And the closest I ever came to wanting Superhero related was those Hulk hands which was a very very brief, short time. Strawberry Shortcake, and Winx was much more my speed, Superhero's were just so overrated.
Now that tables have turned. I LOVE my Avengers! I prefer Marvel over DC Comics, although I still very much enjoy DC Comics. If my room could be decked out in Avenger stuff, heck I'd do it!
I'm sure everyone knows about the Avengers coming out over this past week, my Dad and I went to the movies yesterday, it's been so long since I've gone to a movie theater and I had to go this one. I've been dropping hints to him about wanting to go see other past movies but it never happened (I don't think my hints were blunt enough.).
Let me start by saying this, I am a HUGE Loki fan. Love the man. Love Tom Hiddleston. And when I found out that he wasn't going to be in Age of Ultron I wasn't expecting it to be all that great. He is Loki after all. (I can't tell you how stressed out I was watching The Dark World.)
BUT NO! It was SO. STINKIN'. GOOD! James Spader, aka Red from Blacklist, plays/voices the new bad guy, Ultron. He's such a 'likeable' (likeable meaning perfect actor/perfect character/personality) bad guy. He's got some of the best lines. Not that you can completly compare the two, but if you've watched Blacklist and enjoy Red and know his personality, Ultron has some of the same characteristics and humor as Red and it just fits with the rest of the characters.
I've also discovered that I may have discovered my love for Iron Man/Stark. Robert Downey Jr. is such a great actor and person it makes it really hard not to find him a great character. Oh, an Captain? He's pretty cool too.
Also, I never expected Bruce to be an Opera kinda guy, either.
If you haven't seen the movie, and you're planning on going, just a word of advice. Make sure you stay till the end of the movie, meaning after the first set of credits. Or else you may or may not see a very important clip, and you may or may not have to expect for there to be another movie.
Again, a word of advice.
If you aren't planning on going to the movie theater for this, you can pre-order the dvd here.
