April Favorites | 2014

April has been a pretty good month for how fast it has passed by, seriously, yesterday seemed like February.
I haven't done a favorites post in a while so I thought I'd share[:

1. Oranges

Dad got us some oranges last week when he went for groceries and they are soooo good, I've been having one everyday.

2. Bananas

Bananas are my favorite fruit, ever. Perfect for smoothies, perfect for a snack, and their also great for upset stomachs, which is always a plus for this body.

3. Almond Milk

I don't like milk. Period. Everyone in my family just loovvveesss it and I can't stand it. It's either A) It doesn't taste good or B) stomach issues. So mom got me the Vanilla Almond milk one day which I thought tasted a lot like the milk after eating frosted flakes when it gets all sugary and everything, which is great, but a little too sweet. Dad got the plain unsweetened kind it is sooo good. I think it's also helping with my skin and that too.

4. Special K Popcorn Chips

There will be a review of them up soon, but their a favorite[;

5. Instagram

Instagram used to be a HUGE part of my life, I'd post a bunch of pictures, all happy happy joy joy then high school came and pretty much bursted my bubble on there and there had been too much going on to keep up with it. But lately I've been back to posting pictures again. Most of them are of photography, but there is life-y things on there too that're taken with the iPod camera.

6. Lastly, Working out

The past few weeks I've been making sure to get in as many workouts as I can through-out the week, which is average two days, I'm trying my hardest not to miss Mondays and going three days without working out, even though the past two days I've probably gotten in like 5-10mins on each day. But it's better than nothing at all...right?

What's your favorites for the month of April??

Dad's Birthday

Today was a fun day, it was Daddy's birthday.
Originally I had planned to make him one of his favorite cookies until he had asked if someone was gonna make Gob cake.
I had gotten up early and worked on my old computer trying to make him his card, which didn't work out, turns out Photoshop wasn't on there and my potable hard drive wouldn't hook up to it since the casing was switched, dang technology. Thankfully mom had it on her computer and let me use it, she thought she'd deleted it off too.
So while he went to get groceries I worked on his cake.

(you can find the recipe for it here)

Thankfully he greatly enjoyed it!

Later the guys went for rides on their bikes and me and mom spent time planting seeds and getting them ready before it gets too late in the year.

There's cucumbers, lettuce, watermelon, and cantaloupe[:
Also I wanted to plant spinach for salads and for Ginger too

Mom had plant some older lettuce seeds to see if they would sprout at all, and there's also a mix of sorts of greens.

Later on me and dad spent the day watching some tv which was a lot of fun[:

Getting in Shape!

I started my morning off with a workout. Lately I've been pretty consistant on trying to get workouts in, even if it's just a bit of lifting light weights till my arms start to shake, or one of Cassey Ho's videos. Something is better than nothing. Today I did 24mins of kickboxing, I should've done my stretches after but I didn't, I was too excited for breakfast to care.

This whole week I've been wanting fresh strawberries, with bananas. My all time favorite fruit combination. Originally I was gonna have noodles, and have my fruit for lunch. Had gotten them all prepared... then they spilled on the floor. Not a happy camper. So I just opted out for the strawberries and bananas. The problem? The strawberries don't taste like strawberries. Maybe it's just me cause everything has been tasting weird to me but I tried three different strawberries and they didn't taste right. I've had my fair share of eating food that wasn't any good and I didn't want to risk an upset stomach for hours after, especially over my favorite fruit. I just ate the bananas instead. Yumm.

To top the day a little more my package of books arrived today, which was nice. I'm gonna do a post about my summer reading list soon so these will be in there.

Oh summer, please come quicker.

Goldfish Puffs Mega Cheese Baked Puff Snacks Review

I was so excited to find out that there was finally a gluten free version of Goldfish crackers, these were my favorite snack before I had gone gluten free, I had made sure I ate one last pack before actually going strictly gluten free. And maaayybbeee my expectations for them were just a smidge too high.
It's a big package and you actually get a fairly good amount of crackers in them, the problem? They didn't taste anything like I thought they would.
I thought that they'd taste like the original goldfish crackers, but they don't. You know those cheese dips for chips/pretzels that have like the tomatoes and pepper pieces in them? Is it the Tostito's brand? Or Velveeta? Something of the nature. Any who, that's what they tasted like, it was artificial tasting, not gonna lie, it bummed me out.
They do have other flavors as well in Cheddar Bacon and Buffalo Wing.
I've read a few reviews that people say they taste like Cheetos of cheese puffs, so maybe if you like those try these, or in my case, cheese dip.

Schar Vanilla Wafers Review

A while ago on one of those 'junk-food-is-needed' nights I had gotten these Vanilla Wafers. I was thinking they'd be like those ones you can get in a package that're like strawberry flavored and what not, Dad used to get them all the time when we were younger, any who!
These are verryyy sweet, but they are good. Probably one of those treats that're like a once inna while sort of thing, if that makes any sense.

I reccomened these to any vanilla or wafer cookie lover, I bet they'd like them[:

Glutino Honey Nut Rings Cereal Review

Cereal has been one of those things I really miss. Fruit Loops, Cheerios, Frosted Flakes, Blueberry Muffin Tops, Frosted Mini Wheats, Honey Bunches of Oats-oh my gosh the list goes on, but you get the idea.
THANKFULLY Glutino has fixed some of this for me[:
These Honey Nut Rings are Auh-may-zing! They taste so much like regular Cheerios!
Their made of corn flour/starch which to me personally taste a lot better than brown rice stuff, yuck.
I'm so glad my mom had picked these up for me, I've seen them on Glutino's website and have wanted to try them, now I know that they are so incredibly good and their sold to place around here[:

Annie's Homegrown Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks Berry Patch; Review

                                                [source]

I did another review of these only on a different flavor. Here is the link to the Summer Strawberry snacks[:

These are Vegan, gluten free, organic, free of artifical flavors, colors, preservatives, and gelatin.
The flavors are cherry, strawberry, and raspberry.
Annie's is one of my favorite fruit snack companies, and like I said before I'm not huge on fruit gummies but this is one kind that I will eat.
However, I do prefer the strawberry over these berry patch ones, I'm a lover of strawberries, these are still really good!

Here is a link if you'd like to look at them yourselves. Annie's does have many other flavors and products too!
Hopefully I'll get to try more!
