Resoultions!

HOPEFULLY I'll actually stick to this years resolutions, maybe actually blogging them will help encourage me to do them a little more.

Get Healthier. Of course. Eat clean, exercise more, take care of myself. I don't have the greatest diet on earth, it's not that I eat a lot of junk food or fast food and soda, to be honest I can't eat fast food or drink soda. Because of my stomach issues I eat gluten free, and with all the stomach aches I tend to keep in a safety zone of pretzels, granola, and well... pretzels. I want to try and branch out, eat more fruits, vegetables, experiment and see what I can find.

Blog More. Not just one every few weeks like now but more often and more about life-y things.

Stop Being So Scared. I'm a worrier, I used to be 'fearless' I guess for the most part, didn't care too much about what other people did, if I wanted it, I was bound and determined to make it happen. I wanna be that again.

Work On My Bucket List. I really really really really really really wanna work on my Bucket List, thanks Pinterest for making me obsess about it.

Read More Books. Since I graduated I've barely picked up a book and I'd really like to get  back into reading, I wanna try to read as much as I can this year, try to reach a new personal goal.

Lastly

Turn My Dreams Into Reality. I think that one speaks for its own.

What's your new years resolutions? If you don't have any, what do you wanna accomplish?
Feel free to share[:

French Toast Muffins Recipe

French toast muffins.
My mom really seemed to like these and they aren't your typical 'french toast' sort of thing.

The recipe;

1/3 cup of butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup milk

Topping;
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tsp cinnamon

What you'll need to do
In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients , add wet ingredients and stir till well combined but still a bit lumpy. In a sprayed muffin tin, scoop the dough inside and bake for 20 - 25 mins until lightly golden brown.
For the topping mix the cinnamon, sugar in one bowl and the melted butter in another, dip the muffin into the butter than the cinnamon sugar and enjoy[:

The Notebook Movie Review

Rated - PG - 13
Drama - Romance
Released - 2004

[source]

'Why're are you reviewing this movie?' You ask 'everyone has seen it'. Nope! Not this girl, I just caught on the 'Notebook' bandwagon this year after seeing some Interviews of Ryan Gosling and how funny he is, I was like 'Hey, I should watch that, that's a classic movie'.
I'm glad I did.
For those who might live under a rock-like I apparently do- it's about a poor guy who falls in love with a rich girl and he gives her a sense of freedom, they end up separating to do differences.
I love, love, love Nicholas Sparks, he's one of the best authors alive and the fact that he does movies too, is amazing.
So if you've been contemplating on watching this movie, you should, you absolutely should.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower Movie Review

Rated - PG-13
Drama, Romance
Released - 2012

[source]

This was a pretty good movie, coming from a wallflower myself.
I wasn't huge on some of the stuff that was in it, and it's definitely not suited for a younger audience. The way they portray it and wrote it out is wonderful, it's one of those movies that gets you thinking.
It's based on a novel written by Stephen Chbosky, about  a 15 year old boy named Charlie, an endearing and naive outsider, coping with first love, the suicide of his best friend, and his own mental illness while struggling to find a group of people that he belongs. The boy is taken in by two seniors, Sam and Patrick, who welcome him to the real world.
Emma Watson is one of my favorite actress' after Harry Potter, and she's doing an amazing job of it.

Schars Cheese Bites Review

[source]

Schar's have just the best foods ever, at least from what I've tried.
Their Cheese Bites? Taste as close to Cheez-It's as it can get, and being Gluten Free, Cheez-It's are dearly missed, they were one of my absolute favorite snack foods ever. They are crunchy, bite sized, and you get more in the bag than you think.
They'd be really great in a trail mix, too!

Epic Movie Review

Rated - PG
Animation, Adventure, Family
Released - 2013

[source]

This movie is absolutely amazing!! It's so stinkin' cute! The slugs? Adorable! They were my favorite characters, along with the dog, their just so silly and cute.
One thing I didn't realize till a little bit through is that Pit Bull, Josh Hutcherson, Beyonce, and Steven Tyler voice in it- Yay me for catching on half way through the movie-.
This is a perfect movie for a family night, it's not your typical 'fairy' sort of movie or anything when you factor in some of the action scenes and them using Hummingbirds to fly, but seriously, who wouldn't wanna fly on a Hummingbird? If I was a tiny enough I'd totally go for it.
It's not one of those movies where when you see it you're like 'Oh, they got that idea from this-or-that movie'.
It's about a teenage girl who goes to stay with her father and wound up in the forest into a tiny little person and contributes in a fight of the good and evil.
It's like a mash up of Narnia and Avatar.
They did an incredible job on it. Two thumbs up!

Here's a trailer if you'd like to see it;

Did you watch it?
What were your thoughts?

Update

I'm alive! I promise!
I've been terrible at keeping up with my posts but some things have happened that's been delaying me a bit.

  • Three of my pets have passed away in the past couple months and it's taken a toll on me, they were close to me and it's just weird knowing they aren't around anymore.
  • My portable hard drive has decided to die on me and it's gonna be a while till I can get a new; one and get all my music and what not transferred over, not to mention it's gonna cost an arm and a leg:(
  • My computer is breaking. Thankfully though, I might be getting a new one for Christmas and I'm super excited about that.
I'm hoping to get some new things posted, probably reviews and hopefully a recipe or two.

Make sure you give your pet a hug and a kiss today, make time for them, they are one of the best things in the world.

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28
